OP Grant Application - Initial Setup and Guidance of the ParaTrooper Contributor structure - Burns

I read you posts and i would ask few questions.
These questions are there to bring clarification on your intentions and your motivation. Do not see any suspicion there but a desire to know more about who you are.

  • Do you plan to leave Balancer Dao? If yes why? And why after only one year?
  • Or do you plan to still work for Balancer Dao and Paraswap in the meantime?
  • Why Paraswap and not an other protocol?
  • Where do you find paraswap compared to these competitors?
  • Why do you think we have a chance to succeed?
  • Are you there to occupy a position (for which you seem well qualified) as long as your mission is fulfilled or to integrate the DAO for the medium-long term? Note that both options are respectable from my point of view.

    No. As stated above I have the capacity to cover responsibilities for both DAOs especially given the synergies between the two. A 45hr week is less than I’m used to and very manageable.

    ParaSwap is a leading aggregator destined for big things especially with its innovative new tokenomics being trialled that are beyond other ve models to incentivise the protocol’s use and growth. The DAO is at an early stage of it’s progression into decentralization and I can be of value here and would take great pride to see it further along this path with other dedicated ParaTroopers.

    My immediate priorities are the deliverables I have outlined in this initial engagement but the hope is to find a role medium-long term that I can continue to contribute through.

This shows a real desire to grow the dao.

I’m glad you have made a counter offer to address the points raised by DAO members with respect to salary. I also like the idea of the psp component of the pay to be vested for 3 months.

For clarity and fairness, would you agree to a $500 worth of vested psp (VePSP) which would translate to around 13,000psp using the current monthly average price instead of 15,000psp flat as proposed. The asset in question is volatile and that has to be put into consideration for fairness.

15,000psp at $0.1/psp is worth $1500 while same amount is worth $300 at $0.02/psp.

Other than that, I am satisfied with your responses and approach.

I have no problem with this, the reasoning for having a fixed PSP amount was intentioned to de-risk for the ParaSwap DAO treasury (even though this is not a significant amount), to assist budgeting and show commitment to PSP. If the preference is a USD equivalent while the token has volatility then that’s acceptable for me.
